This month, the editor ushers in an early summer with a drive in Ferrari’s new hard top convertible, the Portofino, in Italy. Back home, we are dazzled by Lexus’ new LS 500h and bowled over by just how cool the Range Rover Velar is. Having shut our gaping mouths we promptly put the Velar into the ring with the Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90 to see if it can handle some competition. Meanwhile, Audi’s new Q5 was on its way to take the ‘benchmark’ mantle from its predecessor only to find the Volvo XC60 blocking its path.
