Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition launched

Porsche India has launched a limited edition of its most popular model in India, Cayenne. To be called as the Platinum Edition, the mid-sized luxury SUV gets several cosmetic bits on the inside as well as outside and is offered in both diesel and petrol trims.

Talking about the features, the highlight is the 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design, housed in broader wheel arches. The RS Spyder was a LMP2 car by Porsche, a predecessor to the 919 Hybrid. The SUV also gets bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Lighting System. On the inside, Platinum Edition door sills are standard on all doors along with leather seats embossed with Porsche logo. Additionally the Platinum Edition gets a 7-inch touchscreen that supports GPS navigation and Airplay, Bose stereo system and a new analogue clock integrated in the dashboard over the alcantara centre console.

The comprehensive range of standard equipment and eye-catching details makes this premium model a truly attractive offering for our enthusiasts.”

The Platinum Edition petrol variant is powered by a 3.6-litre engine that churns out 295bhp and 400Nm while the diesel is powered by a 3-litre unit that develops 241bhp and 550Nm of torque.

Standard features on the Cayenne are already present such as parking assist, anti glare mirrors, Porsche Active Suspension Management and electrical sun blinds. The Platinum Edition also gets an exclusive colour named Purpurite, along with the 6 colours already available. Bookings are accepted now and the deliveries are expected to commence by August.

Petrol Platinum Edition: Rs 1.6 crore

Diesel Platinum Edition: 1.08 crore
