F1 2016: Renault RS-16 unveiled

Having reacquired what was formerly the Lotus team, Renault became the first ever company to launch their Formula One Car from a full-scale event in Paris. The design of the all new car seems to be par the rest of the formula one cars on the grid, with spilt waste gate pipes on the exhaust, although one is left wanting for details how the team have tackled aero and cooling issues. Although massive vents on the side-pods might indicate a slightly sub-par cooling system on Renault’s RS16. In the driver’s seat will be up and coming formula one driver Jolyon Palmer and Kevin Magnussen, coming at the last minute to replace Pastor Maldonado. Team bosses however have indicated that they intend to make their presence on the grid felt slowly rather than with a bang. They indicated that it will be two or three years before the team has an all in all competitive vehicle. As for liveries, the Renault will run through testing with a temporary black and yellow theme, and will unveil the final colours only before the GP opening at Australia.
