2017 Frankfurt Motor Show: BMW unveils iVision Dynamics

With the obvious push for sustainable mobility solutions, BMW has revealed the all new iVision Dynamics. The electric vehicle is BMW’s showstopper this year as they aim to slot in between the i3 and the i8, both of which appeared as iVisions earlier. It is a four door Gran Coupe and has been designed in accordance with the Vision Next100 shown at the company’s centenarian celebration.

The iVision Dynamics has the capability to go from naught to a hundred in under four seconds and will continue to plough to speeds in the region of 200kmph. By employing their fifth generation batteries, BMW has managed to expand the range of the fully electric car to a whopping 600km on a full charge. The company has assured that the vehicle will be production ready in the coming year or two like they did with the i8.

BMW has also shown several e-mobility solutions in the build up to the Frankfurt Motor Show with vehicles such as the X7 Concept iPerformance and has also unveiled the new i3 along with a sportier i3s at the show. The electrification agenda has also transcended into the Mini and Motorrad brands as well with Mini showcasing the Mini Electric Concept which is slated to be released internationally in 2019. BMW Motorrad’s Concept Link is crucial for the company’s development in urban mobility solutions as it basis its development on two aspects – Mobility and Connectivity.
